The Oklahoma Department of Transportation released the following road conditions update:
Road Conditions Update 2:45 a.m.
Roads in Tulsa, Rogers, Creek and Okmulgee counties are slick in spots, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Road Conditions Update 12-27-14 – 10 a.m.
Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews are treating and plowing highways in some areas of Kiowa and Tillman counties in southwestern Oklahoma.
In the Oklahoma City metro area, crews are treating slick spots on highways and bridges in Canadian County. The rest of the metro area has wet roads.
Crews are also monitoring conditions in central, southern and northeastern Oklahoma, including the Tulsa metro area, where roads are wet from continued precipitation.
Drivers should be aware of slick spots, particularly on highway bridges and highway exit/entrance ramps. Drivers who do travel should allow extra space between vehicles, so there is adequate distance for braking in wet and icy conditions.
If drivers must travel out of state, they are urged to check area road conditions before heading out.
