Grass Fire Slows Traffic On Turner Turnpike Near Bristow

A grass fire along the Turner Turnpike slowed traffic Tuesday afternoon.

The fire burned along the eastbound lanes near mile marker 190 which is near Bristow. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the fire was not very big and that the Bristow Fire Department would put it out.

The OHP said the fire was slowing traffic a bit but that all lanes of the turnpike were still open. The OHP did not know how the fire started.
