Highway 60 in Craig County remains closed after a crash involving three vehicles, including two semis, Friday morning.

Troopers said the crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. three miles west of the intersection with Highway 66.

The OHP said the driver of a westbound semi carrying groceries veered off the road and crashed scattering boxes across the highway.  The driver of a Miller Transport tanker truck hauling anhydrous ammonia also headed west crashed into the wreckage, as did an eastbound pickup truck.

Troopers said all three drivers were not seriously injured, but the grocery truck driver was booked into the Craig County jail on suspicion of intoxication.

Craig County Emergency Management director Morris Bluejacket praised the response of the Vinita Fire Department adding about a half dozen nearby homes did not have to be evacuated because of wrecked tanker truck.

Authorities say there was a significant amount of diesel fuel and anti-freeze leaked from the two semis.

The OHP expects the highway to reopen by 1:30 p.m.
