Tulsa Police Release Name Of Robbery Suspect Shot By Officer

The Tulsa Police Department has identified the officer and the man she shot during a robbery at a check-cashing business Thursday afternoon.

Police say the officer is Sherron Jones, 47, an 18-year veteran of the department.

The shooting occurred at the Check n' Go at 3712 East 51st Street on November 13, 2014.

Police identified the suspect as Michael Muehlberg, 30, of Tulsa. Oklahoma Department of Corrections records show Muehlberg had served four years in prison following an armed robbery conviction in 2004. He is currently on probation.

Police said Muehlberg was taken to a Tulsa hospital and is expected to survive.
