A Tulsa man tried to rob a bank, but prosecutors said a his run from police just ended up costing another man his life.

A federal jury convicted 51-year-old Francis Dishmon for the attempted robbery at the IBC bank in Miami.

The jury, however, couldn't agree on whether Dishmon was to blame for the crash that killed a semi-truck driver in August of last year.

Police said Dishmon was going 100 miles an hour as he went through Quapaw.

Officers said he clipped a semi, trying to pass it, and sent the big rig onto its side.

The driver died instantly.

A judge will sentence Dishmon for the attempted bank robbery next year.

Prosecutors plan to re-try him for the deadly crash.
