The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a man who led troopers and other law enforcement agencies on a chase through Glenpool with a child in the car early Wednesday.
Troopers said the chase started after they stopped a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix for a traffic violation on the Creek Turnpike just west of Yale at 12:30 a.m. They say the driver -- Cesar Zamora, 36, of Tulsa -- got out of the car with a child and walked up to the trooper's vehicle. The trooper told them to return to their car which they did.
The OHP says Zamora then drove off.
The chase wound its way into around Glenpool before stopping in front of a house on South Nyssa Avenue at East 142nd Street South.
The troopers arrested Zamora and left the child with Zamora's brother who lives in the house.
He was booked on complaints of driving under the influence, eluding, careless driving, driving under revocation and child endangerment. Jail records show Zamora's bond was $31,200 with a court appearance set for November 12, 2014.
The OHP report did not state the age of the child or whether the child was a boy or a girl.
