Police arrested a Tulsa man on a complaint of first-degree rape late Monday after going to his residence to investigate a drug overdose.
According to a police report, officers questioned Carl Lynch, 43, on October 30, 2014, after an 18-year-old female said he had repeatedly raped her over a number of years with the last incident on that day. Lynch denied the allegations.
On Monday, November 3, 2014, police returned to Lynch's residence because of a report of a drug overdose. In the report, police said Lynch's wife found him on the couch in a "poor state of health." She also found several empty prescription bottles and five suicide notes addressed to his family and the 18-year-old female.
After being released from a Tulsa hospital, Lynch was booked into the Tulsa County jail early Tuesday. Jail records show Lynch is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond with a court appearance set for November 12, 2014.
