Grease Fire Burns Tulsa Woman's Hands

A resident of a Tulsa apartment complex was taken to the hospital early Monday after a grease fire in her kitchen. 

The fire happened at the Murdock Villa Apartments in the 800 block of South Wheeling at about 3 a.m. Firefighters said the victim had burns on her hands. 

The fire department was called to Murdock Villa initially because smoke alarms were going off. Firefighters found the victim and EMSA took the woman to the hospital. There was no word on her condition. 

Firefighters said there was not any significant damage from the fire in the woman's apartment.
