Owasso police arrested a man they say got angry with his babysitter's mother and assaulted her. The incident took place late Saturday night, November 1, in the 700 block of North Atlanta, according to an arrest report.
Michael Sean Graves was booked on a complaint of domestic assault and battery by strangulation.
Police say Graves got angry when he returned home from a reception and found his house dirty. He reportedly began yelling at his 13-year-old babysitter.
When the babysitter's mother - who is also Graves' sister-in-law - arrived at the house, Graves "began to divert his anger" toward her, the arrest report states.
The sister-in-law told police he punched her and pinned her down, then started choking her. She said she fought back by punching and kicking him.
Graves, who police say smelled of alcohol, admitted he'd been drinking and got upset when he came home to a dirty house. He did not admit to choking his sister-in-law, the report states.
Graves' wife reportedly told police she witnessed her husband assaulting her sister. The wife also appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, officers say.
The 39-year-old man was still in jail Sunday morning but no bond amount was noted on the jail web site.
