With the help from a public tips and media exposure, Sand Springs police say they have arrested a man in conjunction with two armed robberies.
In custody is Westley O'Brien Oliver, 29, of Sand Springs. He is being held on two counts of armed robbery and three counts of sexual battery, a news release says.
SSPD says when they arrived to Oliver's residence to make an arrest, he walked out to meet them as he was carrying a bag that contained clothing and a knife that reportedly matched the description in a robbery at a shoe store on Oct. 10. Police say they also recovered clothing that matched the description used in the robbery.
Oliver also is the suspect in a robbery at Dreams Wine and Liquor store in Sand Springs on Saturday night.
According to clerks at both stores, they were sexually assaulted during the robberies.
