12-Inch Water Main Break Impacts Traffic In Midtown Tulsa

Traffic on 31st Street between Harvard and Louisville is down to one lane in each direction as Tulsa water department workers repair a broken water main Wednesday morning.

The city says the 12-inch line broke sometime after midnight. Workers began digging down to the broken line just before 5 a.m.

The water department expects the line to be repaired by noon Wednesday. It says eight businesses are currently without water because of the break.

Workers are also repairing a six-inch water main break in the 3000 block of South Sheridan which was reported just before 10:45 a.m.
