We're looking at a pleasant run of fall-like weather conditions for the next few days.  Temperatures will be cool this morning with many locations dropping into the 50s.  Afternoon highs will move into the upper 70s with light northeast winds.  A few showers could brush the areas west of Tulsa Tuesday night into Wednesday.

The cold front moved across northern OK Sunday morning with a few showers and thunderstorms.  The boundary was located across far southern OK late yesterday evening with a few scattered showers and storms.  Drier air moved southward into the northern third of the state and this is allowing for a cool start this morning across most of the region.  Our temps will drop into the 50s with a few upper 40s in some of the valley locations this morning before moving into the upper 70s north and lower 80s southern OK.  The pattern will keep a few showers or storms across the western third of the state for the next few days, but our chances will remain rather low.

The main upper air pattern will keep a weak upper level low to our west with a surface ridge of high pressure centered across the Missouri Valley today.  Northeast surface winds in the 10 mph range will keep the dry air across the NE OK region today and probably for the next few days.  This weak upper level low will move slowly eastward producing scattered showers or storms almost every day across far northwestern OK and southwestern Kansas.  We think most, it not all, of this precip will remain west of the Tulsa area for the week.  But, we'll continue to keep a slight mention (10%) in the Tuesday late and Wednesday forecast for a stray shower or storm that could survive the movement eastward into our area before it weakens.

By the end of the week, another stronger system will be developing across the western third of the nation and will begin moving eastward.  It appears this system will reside to the east of the state until sometime early next week.  This means the approaching weekend will remain dry with morning lows in the lower 60s and highs in the lower 80s.

Temperatures this morning will start in the 50s with a few upper 40s in the valleys.  Afternoon highs will move into the upper 70s along with mostly sunny conditions and northeast winds around 10 to 15 mph.  The RAP indicates a few mid-level clouds around the 2pm to 3pm hour should arrive from the northwest.

Tuesday morning will start in the lower to mid-50s and finish in the upper 70s and lower 80s.  Wednesday and Thursday will see morning lows near 60 with afternoon highs around 80.  This approaching week will feature some nice fall-like conditions with no significant chance of showers or storms.
