Animal lovers could find a new best friend for less at the Broken Arrow Animal Shelter's Animal Palooza today. Animal Palooza ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4121 East Omaha Street.
Customers could adopt an animal from the shelter at half price: $25 instead of $50. Vaccinations and spaying or neutering were included in this fee.
There was lots of family fun planned in addition to the furry ones up for adoption. A Jupiter Jump, giant slide and face painting are available. Broken Arrow police sold $1 hot dogs and soda and gave out free popcorn.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the animal shelter, located about a half mile east of 209th East Ave on 51st Street.
The Shelter is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
