Oklahoma County Sex Offender Arrested In Texas

A wanted child sex offender, on the run on a charge from Oklahoma County, was found in Austin this week.

According to KVUE, the CBS affiliate in Austin, Texas, police learned that the man they knew as transient DeWayne Carlson, was actually 42-year-old Kenneth DeWayne Roberts.  Police also knew him from the sign he regularly held reading "25 cent jokes."

A warrant was issued for Roberts in February 2014 for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Act.

Roberts is in the Travis County Jail awaiting extradiction back to Oklahoma.
