Firefighters blame smoking for a fire at a Tulsa apartment building late Monday.
The Tulsa Fire Department got the call just before 10 p.m. about a fire at the Mansion House Apartments in the 1600 block of South Carson.
Tulsa Fire Captain Stan May said the fire was contained to the second floor apartment, but several apartments directly above suffered some smoke damage. An apartment on the first floor sustained water damage.
May said no one was seriously injured, however one resident was taken to the hospital by EMSA to be checked out.
May says the burned apartment was heavily damaged.
Mansion House is an 11-story apartment building and has about 200 residents.
