Muskogee Police Identify Homicide Victim

Police have released the name of a man shot to death at a Muskogee Apartment complex Sunday. Alexander Ethan Garfield, 23, died of multiple gunshot wounds at the Pines Apartments.

Officers arrested convicted felon Deontee Eugene Newton. Eyewitnesses identified the 21-year-old Newton as the shooter.

"We are still working on a motive for this homicide and further information will be released as it becomes available," Muskogee Police Corporal Michael Mahan said in a news release.
