It was 16 years ago Friday that 16-year-old Dena Dean disappeared from Tulsa's Town West Shopping Center. Her body was found six days later, and her killer has yet to be caught.
In what's become an annual tradition, the Tulsa County Sheriff's office set up a cold case command post at the Family Fellowship Church in West Tulsa. It's a way to not only remember Dena, but also get tips in her case as well as other unsolved homicides.

Investigators said even a seemingly insignificant piece of information could be key to solving the case.
"A lot of the best tips that we get are the things that people think the least about, about," said Major Shannon Clark with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. "That's where we can actually tie two major forms of information, and it's that one little component that we're still looking for."
The cold case command post will stay open until 11:00 Saturday morning. You can call in tips to 918-596-8681.
