Grand Lake Swimming Area To Remain Closed Until Tuesday

A Grand Lake swimming beach will stay closed until at least next Tuesday.

Water samples taken from the Bernice State Park swimming area continue to show high levels of E. coli and another bacteria, but those levels are dropping.

The Grand River Dam Authority first closed the beach Tuesday after several people got sick from swimming. GRDA said the problem appears isolated to the one area.

They're still looking what caused the spike in E. coli levels.
