Body Found In Truck Near Lake Hudson Campground

Mayes County authorities are investigating after a body was discovered in a pickup parked just off a county road on the upper end of Lake Hudson Thursday morning.

A News On 6 viewer said Grand River Dam Authority Police and Mayes County deputies were called to the Horseshoe campground area on Waterline Road on the west side of the lake at about 8 a.m. 

GRDA spokesman Justin Alberty said there were not any obvious signs of trauma on the body. He says the body was taken to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa to determine cause and manner of death.

Alberty later confirmed it was a man's body.
