The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Morris man died at the scene of crash in Muskogee County involving two pickup trucks Friday evening.

Troopers said the crash happened on Highway 16 at County Road 204 at about 6:22 p.m.

The OHP reports a westbound 1999 Dodge pickup driven by George Morgan, 59, turned south onto the county road in the path of an eastbound 1999 Dodge pickup driven by Michael Whisenhunt, 46, of Checotah.

After the impact both trucks came to rest in a bar ditch.

Whisenhut was taken to a Tahlequah hospital where he was treated and released.

The OHP said the cause of the crash was an improper left turn.
