Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting that took place Saturday night in a North Tulsa neighborhood. It happened just after 7 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Boston Place.

EMSA says they transported a 24-year-old man in critical condition to a Tulsa hospital.

Sergeant Steve Stoltz with the Tulsa Police Department said the injury came in a "running gun battle" between two men in a car and other people inside a house.

The two groups exchanged gunfire, and the driver of the car was hit several times.

That's when he wrecked the car that could be seen parked on the tree-lined street.

"The passenger got out of vehicle with a rifle, firing back at the house," Stoltz said.

When police arrived, they found the wounded man still in the vehicle.

No arrests had been made late Saturday night. Police were questioning witnesses, and detectives were waiting on a search warrant for the home.
