The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is warning of a scam where people are posing as representatives with the Sheriff's Office.

They say scammers are posing as "Deputy Tim Albin," "Sergeant John Stone," and "Investigator Mark Tillman."

They say the suspects have contacted random individuals by phone, tell them they have an arrest warrant issued and they can avoid being arrested if they purchase a Greed Dot Card for different amounts of money.

Reports say the suspects then give the potential victims a callback number and tell them to call with the authorization number.

They say most of the names, and all of the ranks, are being used are false. The Sheriff's Office said they, or any local agency, don't handle warrants that way.

They ask anyone who receives calls from the men to report it to Tulsa County Sheriff's Office detective division at 918-596-8661.
