Man Dies, Two Injured In Muskogee County House Fire

The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office said a man died in a house fire west of Muskogee early Friday.

Firefighters from the Mountain View Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire in the 7300 block of Taft Road at 2:15 a.m.

Muskogee EMS said a man was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics transported an adult male and female to Tulsa's Hillcrest Medical Center. There was no word on their conditions.

A third man refused medical treatment.

The sheriff's office said the state Fire Marshal's Office has an investigator on scene.

Deputies said the names of the victims have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
