Flu-Related Death Reported In Creek County

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports a flu-related death in Creek County in the past week.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported a flu-related death in Creek County in the past week.

It was the first influenza death in Oklahoma since mid-April and brings the total number of deaths statewide to 62 since September 2013.

The OSDH says Tulsa County has had the most deaths with 10, followed by Comanche County with six, Oklahoma County with five and Cleveland County with four. Creek, Logan, Muskogee, Pittsburg and Wagoner counties each have had three deaths.

Carter, LeFlore, Mayes, McClain and Washington counties have each had two deaths while 12 counties have one death each.

  • Cherokee County 7
  • Craig County 9 (1 death)
  • Creek County 25 (3 deaths)
  • Delaware County 3
  • Latimer County 6
  • LeFlore County 20 (2 deaths)
  • Mayes County 25 (2 death)
  • McIntosh County 10 (1 death)
  • Muskogee County 50 (3 deaths)
  • Nowata County 2
  • Okfuskee County 6
  • Okmulgee County 22 (1 death)
  • Osage County 11 (1 death)
  • Ottawa County 8
  • Pawnee County 5
  • Pittsburg County 22 (3 deaths)
  • Rogers County 32
  • Sequoyah County 6 (1 death)
  • Tulsa County 253 (10 deaths)
