Tulsa Football Opener Moved To Thursday Night

The American Athletic Conference announced today that the Tulsa-Tulane football game, scheduled for the first weekend of the 2014 season, will be played on Thursday, Aug. 28 at The University of Tulsa's H.A. Chapman Stadium.

This game is the first American Athletic Conference game for both Tulsa and Tulane, as the two schools move into The American from Conference USA. The Tulsa-Tulane game is the only league contest during the first three weeks of the season.

TV status and game time are to be determined.

Tulsa leads the series against the Green Wave, holding an 8-2-0 series advantage. Tulsa won eight straight contests, including a 4-0 home mark. Tulane snapped its series' losing streak against the Hurricane with a 14-7 home win last year.

Mazzio's Family Fun Zone tickets for 2 adults and 2 youth are priced at $460 for the entire six-game season. Family Fun Zone season tickets, excluding the Oklahoma game, can be purchased for $160.
