Police: East Tulsa Convenience Store Clerk Shot

Officers said customers at the Shamrock Minute Mart near 21st Street and Garnett found a man on the floor who had been shot just after 9pm.

Tulsa Police said an east Tulsa store clerk was shot Monday night.

Officers said customers at the Shamrock Minute Mart near 21st Street and Garnett found a man on the floor who had been shot, just after 9 p.m.

Police said the customers called 911, and the store clerk was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Clerk Nasir Khan said the victim is in his 60s and was wounded in the right arm, left arm and stomach.

"They just shot him," Khan said. "They didn't take anything from the register. The money was as it is; everything was as it is.

"So they just shot him. I don't know the reason for that."

The store has security cameras inside, and police said they were checking to see if the cameras were working at the time of the shooting.

Police ask anyone with any information to call the homicide hotline at 918-798-8477.

Police have not released the name of the victim.
