Boat Capsizes On Grand Lake; 4 Rescued Within Minutes

Grand River Dam Authority Police Chief Brian Edwards has confirmed a boat capsized north of Sailboat Bridge on Grand Lake on Saturday.

According to Edwards, it happened around 3:20 p.m., and four people were rescued from the water within 10 minutes. Two were pulled from the water by a private citizen and two were pulled from the water by a GRDA patrol boat, he said.

No injuries were reported.

One person was evaluated by medical personnel but did not need to be transported.

At this time, there's no word on what caused the accident.
