A multi-vehicle wreck on Highway 75/Interstate 244 at about midnight sent one person to the hospital with a broken leg.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say they were responding to a call about an abandoned vehicle on the northbound leg of the highway at the Arkansas River bridge when the report turned into a four-car wreck.

Traffic was backed up for over a half mile as first responders worked to clear the scene.

"Alcohol wasn't involved in this that we're aware of," said Trooper Aaron Kern.

Authorities say a truck involved in the wreck had been stolen, and the two young men in that vehicle ran away. About 30 minutes later, two men matching their descriptions showed up at the QuikTrip on Southwest Boulevard at 21st Street, saying they were waiting on a ride.

Police questioned the men, but witnesses were not able to positively identify them.
