Some Tulsans held a rally in the wake of the death of Deandre Starks, a Tulsa man who was shot and killed by police during a raid in March.

Starks was inside a home in the 200 block of East Young Street that was raided for drugs. Police say he didn't comply with their instructions, and undercover Sergeant Mark Wollmershauser used deadly force.

Officers didn't find a gun but did find crack cocaine in his possession, they say.

Pastor Paul Dunn, president of the Tulsa Community Action Group, said people in attendance took the day to express their concerns about the fatal shooting, and the role of police in the community.

About two dozen people met to air their opinions at Crawford Park, 2425 North Hartford.

Starks was laid to rest Friday at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Tulsa, Dunn said.
