A Muskogee husband and wife have been arrested for first-degree murder in what authorities are calling drug-related deaths.
Major Gary Handley with the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office says Johnnie and Nancy Hinds were taken into custody Friday.
Handley said another couple, 36-year-old Jimmy "Jimbo" Rozell Jr. and his 45-year-old wife Deanna, were found dead in January in their home in the Taylor Ferry area.
Court records show the deaths were caused by acute morphine intoxication, according to the Tulsa County Medical Examiner's Office.
Johnnie Hinds, 57, was arrested at a residence in Oktaha and 59-year-old Nancy Hinds was taken into custody at a Muskogee house.
Johnnie Hinds told authorities that he and his wife both got morphine from a Tulsa doctor and sold the pills because they needed the money, documents say. He also reportedly said he sold morphine to Rozell on many occasions.
Nancy Hinds told investigators that "Jimbo" came by her house Friday, January 24, 2014, to purchase morphine, according to a probable cause affidavit.
"Nancy stated that she did not have the 100 mg time release capsules of morphine that she would usually sell Jimbo," the affidavit states. "Nancy stated that she sold Jimbo three generic 100 mg morphine pills."
Handley said he expected the Hinds to be arraigned Monday at 1:30 p.m.
