Police say a 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to jail after he stole beer from a midtown Tulsa convenience store late Thursday.

Tulsa Police said the incident took place at the Fiesta Mart near 11th and Harvard at about 11 p.m.

Officers said Joseph Rodanski entered the store and grabbed beer and food. They said the store's clerk confronted him and followed him outside where Rodanski threatened to shoot the clerk.

After searching the area, police officers spotted Rodanski walking in the 1100 block of South Pittsburg and took him into custody.

Police say the clerk was not injured.

Joseph Rodanski was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of robbery by force and fear and public intoxication.  Jail records show Rodanski was being held in lieu of $50,100 bond with a court appearance set for April 11, 2014.
