Caring Center Collects, Donates, Prom Dresses To Green Country Girls

High school girls around the area will have something special to wear on one of the biggest nights of their lives, prom.

First Baptist Tulsa's been collecting dresses for girls who wouldn't be able to have one otherwise. They were given away tonight at the church's Caring Center down south.

Organizers say it's a joy to give knowing they're changing lives.

Bryan Intemann, First Baptist Tulsa: "One of the students came up to the counselor and said, 'This is the dress I got.' and was just beaming, smile from one ear to the other. And we were just able to make that happen."

All the accessories are there as well, including purses, jewelry and shoes.

Donations will be taken at First Baptist Church Tulsa, 403 South Cincinnati Avenue. Or, at Caring Center South at 305 South Detroit Avenue.
