Tulsa Parents To See Trial For Child Neglect After Locking Toddler In Closet

The Tulsa parents arrested for locking their four-year-old child in a closet for six hours is headed to trial on child neglect charges. On Monday, a judge ruled there is enough evidence against Daren and Melissa Nashburn for the case to proceed.

Police were called to their West Tulsa apartment after a maintenance man found the toddler during a routine check.

Officers said Daren Nashburn told them he put the little girl in the closet because she was throwing things and he needed to sleep.

Police put three children in the apartment into the Department Human Services' custody.
