The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a man lying on railroad tracks in Atoka County was killed when he was struck by a freight train late Wednesday.
Troopers said James Littleton, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OHP report states the 70-car Union Pacific train was headed south when it struck Littleton at a railroad crossing on the east side of Tushka at 11 p.m.
The report says Littleton may have been drinking prior to the collision.
The train's engineer and conductor were not injured.
The OHP continues to investigate.
