Missing Muskogee Teen In Danger, Authorities Say

A 16-year-old Muskogee boy is thought to be in danger after he was last seen Saturday afternoon, according to the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office. He is still missing as of Sunday morning.

Austin Powell has conditions that require medication, and it is believed he was taken by his biological father James Powell and the two are headed to Akron, Ohio, authorities say.

Austin Powell is described as a white male wearing a white t-shirt, black hoodie and white shoes. The Sheriff's Office said the teen has developmental issues.

James Powell, 48, may be driving a blue Dodge pickup with Oklahoma license plate number 182FIY.

A deputy confirmed that photos sent to News On 6 by a family friend are Austin and James Powell.
