A jury has recommended a Tulsa woman spend 61 years in prison for killing a popular teacher while driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Marquitta Littlebear was found guilty of second degree murder in the death of Susan Mamary.
Mamary was killed when she was hit by Littlebear's car in February 2012. Mamary was a fourth-grade teacher at Marquette Catholic School.

Littlebear was under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine at the time of the wreck. She also had two children in her car.
Assistant District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler said, "It has taken two years to bring justice to Ms. Mamary's family and colleagues. This jury clearly sent a message about how they felt about drunk drivers killing people in our community."
Littlebear will officially be sentenced in April.
