Broken arrow brought in some star power on Thursday to launch its new 93,000 square foot addition to the high school.
Singer Kristin Chenoweth is a 1986 graduate Of Broken Arrow High. She told the students that those were key years in her life.
"I was in drama club, of course, we didn't even hardly have a choir but I was in it, I think me and two other people. And now I look and see how it's flourished, and the true word is pride, it's pride," Chenoweth said.
The new addition was paid for with a $295-million bond approved by voters in 2009. Along with a new facade, it includes an expanded media center and rehearsal space as well as science labs, classrooms and even a coffee shop.
Broken Arrow's celebration continued at 7:30 p.m. with a special concert featuring local students, two contestants from the NBC show "The Voice," and of course, Kristin Chenoweth.
