Tulsa Man Reportedly Punches Woman After She Refuses Sex

A Tulsa man tried to force himself on a woman, and when she refused, he punched her in the head and wielded a knife, deputies say.

The woman told investigators that she and Carl Ross Cole, 53, were drinking at west Tulsa home just before midnight Friday, and he initiated sex.

When she said no, he punched her in the right side of the forehead, then took a large stainless steel survival knife and swung the handle at her, striking the left side of her forehead, an arrest report says.

The victim said Cole ran away after attacking her.

She was transported to a local hospital with a discolored contusion from his punch and a 1-inch long cut from the knife handle, according to the report.

A Tulsa County deputy went to the home on Saturday night and arrested Cole for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Police are classifying it as a non-domestic matter.

Cole is in the Tulsa County jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
