Potholes are spreading across the city of Tulsa thanks to this week's snow and ice storm.
A News On 6 viewer asked us to check out one particularly bad pothole on 51st Street at 72nd East Avenue.
The pothole was located in the outside lane of 51st Street. We shot video as drivers encountered the pothole during the 7 a.m. hour.
Most drivers were able to avoid it, but some weren't, including the driver of a car that lost two hubcaps as it hit the pothole.
While informing the City of Tulsa about the pothole, we learned that the city started sending pothole repair crews out on Tuesday, once its snow-clearing operation ended.
It says since January 1, 2014 its crews have filled 18,425 potholes.
The city says drivers can report potholes by calling 918-596-2100 or using a form on its website.
City officials say crews will fix the reported pothole within 24-48 hours. Adding, street crews respond first to potholes that are deemed to be a hazard.
