Police: Icy Road Blamed For East Tulsa Pickup Crash

A teenager was taken to a Tulsa hospital to be treated for a possible broken nose after a pickup truck she was riding in went off the road and struck a tree early Wednesday.

Tulsa Police said the crash happened on 11th Street near 193rd East Avenue at about 12:30 a.m.

Police said three teens were in the front seat at the time of the crash. Officers said the driver and a passenger were not injured, but another passenger struck her head on the windshield when the truck hit the tree.

Tulsa Police believe icy road conditions and not speed was a factor in the crash.
