Paternal Grandmother Fights For Custody After Skiatook Homicides

A teenager is held for the murder of his sister and great grandmother. Investigators believe Devin Stanley stabbed his great grandmother then killed his 16-year-old sister.

Randi Fack is the paternal grandmother of one of the children who lived with Esther Driskell before she was murdered.

Fack said she's fought for six years to get custody of her granddaughter because she feared something like this might happen.

"That's me and my Raynee at her birthday party," Fack said.

Fack's son and Esther Driskell's granddaughter are Raynee's parents. Both parents are in prison.

Fack said she was given custody of Raynee when she was born. Then two weeks later, she said Driskell filed for emergency guardianship and the court awarded Driskell custody.

"I feared Esther would just die from old age and worn out," said Fack. "She had those kids all their lives."

Driskell was found stabbed to death inside her Skiatook home Monday. The next day, Driskell's 16-year-old great granddaughter, Larisa Fraley, was also found dead.

Driskell's great grandson, Devin Stanley, was arrested for the murder.

"If this boy Devin did do this, he was made to do it or he snapped from what he's been through," Fack said.

Investigators believe there was some tension in the family and Stanley finally reached his breaking point.

Fack said the arrest validates her suspicions, and that's why she's been fighting for custody of Raynee for years.

"I tried to tell the judge. She said I wasn't presenting my case right," said Fack.

She said documents prove things weren't right.

"It says her brother is hurting her. She don't want to go home. She wants me to stay here with her," said Fack.

Now, Fack is focusing more than ever on bringing her granddaughter home. She spent the day at the courthouse and on the phone with DHS workers.

"It's killing me," said Fack. "I will do anything I have to do to make sure my granddaughter is safe."

Driskell's family said Raynee was not at the home when Driskell was murdered and they say she is safe.
