Arrest Made After Broken Arrow Hit-And-Run Involving Student

Officers placed Jordan Hunter, 18, in custody on a complaint of leaving the scene of an accident. A freshman cross country runner is in ICU at a hospital.<br />

A cross country athlete for Broken Arrow Public Schools was hit by vehicle during practice on Wednesday afternoon, officials say.

The boy is a freshman, approximately 15 years old and attends BA North Intermediate High. He is said to be in critical condition in the intensive care unit at a local hospital with a broken pelvis and a broken leg.

Officials said the boy was crossing First Place just north of 101st Street when he was hit at 2:20 p.m.

According to a news release, while officers were on the scene Jordan Hunter returned and admitted that he was driving the vehicle that hit the student.

Officers placed Hunter, 18, in custody on a complaint of leaving the scene of an accident.
