A woman was taken to a Tulsa hospital after her car struck a tanker truck which turned in front of her early Wednesday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened in the 3500 block of West 21st Street at about 1 a.m.
The OHP said the car was wedged under the tanker making it difficult for firefighters to free her from it.
Troopers said they smelled the odor of alcohol on the woman's breath. They cited the driver of the tanker for making an improper right hand turn. The tanker driver was not hurt.
The OHP said the tanker carried a hazardous material but it did not leak.
There was no word on the woman's condition.
