Police were called to a Tulsa hospital on reports of a baby found in a car in the parking lot.

Officers arrested Shalamar Ratliff for two counts of child neglect. According to the arrest report, Ratliff told detectives she took her 1-year-old son to work with her because she didn't want to call in sick.

Reports say she kept her son in the car outside Hillcrest Hospital for eight hours in freezing temperatures while she worked.

According to the arrest report, Ratliff said she knew it was "stupid", but she did it anyway.

Officers also say Ratliff left her son home alone January 16 while she went to work. According to the report, Ratliff told detectives his grandmother could have looked after him, but she decided to leave him alone.

In that incident, Police say they found the boy at the home when they responded to an alarm call. Ratliff came home about 30 minutes after officers arrived.

Jail records show she is being held on a $100,000 bond.
