Authorities Discover Body Of Young Man In Pond Near Talihina

The body of a young adult man has been discovered in a pond just west of Talihina, according to the LeFlore County Sheriff's Office.

The case is being investigated as a possible homicide, the Sheriff's Office states.

Authorities found the body Monday afternoon and believe it is a 19-year-old man who was reported missing from Talihina last week.

The body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for identification and to determine cause of death.
