Tulsa Mother Arrested For Giving Diabetic Daughter Morphine Pill

Tulsa child crisis detectives arrested a woman Wednesday for child neglect after they say she gave her diabetic daughter a morphine pill, then, didn't check on her for 15 hours.

They say by the time Amy Jennings checked on her 17-year old daughter, the girl was in critical condition with an elevated blood sugar level.

An affidavit said it happened on December 30, and the girl woke from a coma January 6.

She is still suffering from kidney failure and several other complications and might not survive.
