TPD: 13-Year-Old Girl With Knife Robs Man At QuikTrip, Steals Car

A 13-year-old girl robbed a man at knifepoint at a QuikTrip on Sunday night, stole the man's car and led police on a pursuit, officers said.

The girl stole the car from the store at 31st Street and Sheridan Road and took off northbound, a witness told an officer who was pulling into the parking lot right after the alleged robbery occurred.

The officer attempted to stop the car at 11th Street, but he said the girl accelerated quickly to get away. She attempted to turn left at Admiral Road and hit a stationary vehicle in the intersection, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The juvenile was arrested on an armed robbery complaint.

Officers said the robbery victim was from out of town.
