Sooner fans didn't letting the odds get them down Thursday night, when watching the game between OU and Alabama.

In fact, the score at halftime was lifting them up.

News On 6 went to a watch party on Brookside were the fans were hyped, the spirit is flowing, and the Sooners were hoping for a big win.

"This is going to be a challenging game, but I'm ready for Bob Stoops and the boys to come on out and show us our Sooner magic," said Michelle Dawes.

Oklahoma is ranked number 11. Alabama is ranked third. Some would call the Sooners the underdog, but true fans know otherwise.

"OU is never the underdog. The winningest program in the country, if we lose it's okay, I'm still an OU fan," said Jim Morrison.

"I think people are underestimating us and that might play to our advantage today," said Allison Dux.

Gail Dodson was born in Alabama, but Thursday she said it was all about the Sooners.

"I'm a Sooner fan, I've been for a long time. Any other time, it would be 'roll tide,' just not tonight," Dodson said.

Alabama came out the gate strong, scoring very fast in the first quarter, but OU came right back. It caused fans to alter their own predictions on what the final score will be.

"Somewhere in the 30s. Probably 32 to 36," Dawes said.

"OU up by at least three," Dux said.

"I think OU is going to stuff them and I think it's going to be 24 to 21," Morrison said.

In the third quarter, OU was leading Alabama 31-24.
