Authorities say they were forced to shock a man four times with a stun gun during an arrest at a Tahlequah trailer park this week.
Mitchell Dewayne Hummingbird, 33, reportedly told investigators he was just doing "the Lord's work" when he got into a fight with another man while holding a Bible and a hammer.
Officers told News On 6 that Hummingbird refused to drop the hammer and even grabbed at his gun belt.
Hummingbird faces charges of assault and battery, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
He is being held at the Cherokee County jail in lieu of $35,000 bond.
