Prosecutors filed charges Monday against a convicted felon police say raped a woman and then drove around with her in the trunk of a car.
James Partee, 47, is charged with two counts of rape by force or fear, kidnapping, DUI, assault with a dangerous weapon, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Partee was arrested on December 20, after police said a woman reported that her live-in boyfriend held a knife to her throat and sexually assaulted her. She told police Partee then wrapped her in a blanket and put her in the trunk of her car.
Police said Partee smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet when they talked with him.
According to Department of Corrections records, Partee previously served time in the '80s and '90s for second degree burglary and grand larceny out of Tulsa County. He was convicted in 2001 for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Osage County, and sentenced to five years in prison, but was released in October 2003.
Partee remains in the Tulsa County jail $357,000 bond.
